ELIE SAAB design at The Rivus
The Rivus is ELIE SAAB's first project designed in Vietnam. This page separates what ELIE SAAB actually contributes, the principles behind the architecture, what the interiors look like — and how far the handover standard is committed.
How far ELIE SAAB is involved
According to the factsheet, ELIE SAAB is the international strategic partner and directs colour, material selection, scale, form and the layering of the façades, with that involvement extending to the gardens and landscape features. Interior design is carried out by A++ under ELIE SAAB's direction.
The mark "THE RIVUS – GATED DESIGN VILLAS BY ELIE SAAB" and the ELIE SAAB name are used by Masterise Homes under a licence from SIM Licensing Limited and its affiliates.
| Scope | Firm |
|---|---|
| Design direction (colour, materials, proportion, façades, gardens) | ELIE SAAB |

| Interior design | A++ interior (under ELIE SAAB's direction) |
| Landscape | Belt Collins — Hong Kong |
Three architectural themes
- The best of Vietnamese tradition: natural stone cladding and screens, expressive balconies, windows and doors proportioned for daylight, cross-ventilation and protection from the heavy seasonal rains.
- Modern design thinking: a central staircase links the living spaces on every floor; exterior materials, textures and finishes carry inside to soften the move from the street to private space.
- Inspiration from ELIE SAAB: colour, materials, proportion, form, façade layering, gardens and landscape.
The exterior of each collection

Inside the villas
The interior renderings below belong to The Danube collection: spiral staircase, private lift, wine cellar, home cinema, gym, bathroom and pool terrace. They illustrate the design intent; what is actually handed over follows the standard provision list attached to the contract.

What is ELIE SAAB Maison?
ELIE SAAB was founded in Beirut in 1982 and is an official member of the Haute Couture federation. In 2020 the house launched ELIE SAAB Maison, its first interiors brand, in partnership with Italy's Corporate Brand Maison, with a collection made in Italy in restrained neutral tones and bronze details. The brochure uses images of this collection to convey the design spirit; whether ELIE SAAB Maison furniture is included must be confirmed in the contract.
Request the Standard Provision list
Tell Happy Land which villa you are considering — we will ask the developer for the Standard Provision list and arrange a show-villa visit if it is still open.
Frequently asked questions
Did ELIE SAAB really design The Rivus?
According to the factsheet, ELIE SAAB is the international strategic partner, directing colour, materials, proportion, form and façade layering as well as the gardens and landscape. Architecture is by BAAD Architects (Australia) and interiors by A++ under ELIE SAAB's direction.
What furniture and fittings come with the villa?
The published documents only say "detail to follow the Standard Provision list" and name no equipment brands. Ask for the list attached to the contract for your specific villa — Happy Land can request it for you.
Is The Rivus ELIE SAAB's first project in Asia?
The developer's material is inconsistent between "Asia" and "Vietnam", so we state only that The Rivus is ELIE SAAB's first project designed in Vietnam. Abroad, the house has lent its name to residential projects in Dubai and Cairo.
